Why companies switch to us

Tired of these die casting problems?

We have heard it all. Here is what we fix.

Common supplier headaches

  • Parts arrive with porosity, sink marks, or dimension issues that cost time and money to fix
  • Quotes take a week or more, and prices change after you commit
  • No DFM feedback — you find out your design is uncastable after paying for tooling
  • Poor communication, missed deadlines, and no one takes responsibility when things go wrong
  • Hidden middleman markup between you and the actual factory
  • Surface finishes do not match your spec, and secondary ops are outsourced to unknown shops

The YiguProto difference

What is die casting?

Strong metal parts, fast and at scale

Die casting is a manufacturing process where molten metal — usually aluminum or zinc — is pushed into a steel mold (called a die) under high pressure. The metal cools quickly in the mold, forming a solid part that is then ejected and trimmed.

It is the best choice when you need strong, precise metal parts in high volume. The same die can make tens of thousands to millions of parts with excellent consistency, and the cost per piece drops dramatically at volume compared to CNC machining or 3D printing.

As your China die casting manufacturer and supplier, we handle every step in our own factory — from die design and tooling to casting, machining, and finishing. You get a single source for your complete die casting solution.

Materials

Die Casting Materials We Work With

Choosing the right alloy matters for strength, corrosion resistance, cost, and finish. Here are the most common options.

Aluminum Alloys

The most popular choice — lightweight, strong, and corrosion resistant. Good for parts that need heat dissipation or a premium look.

  • A380Most common, great all-around
  • A383 (ADC12)Better flow for complex shapes
  • AlSi10MgBetter ductility, good for anodizing
  • A413Excellent pressure tightness

Zinc Alloys (Zamak)

Lower melting point means longer die life and thinner walls. Excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Great for plating.

  • Zamak 3Most common zinc alloy
  • Zamak 5Higher hardness and strength
  • Zamak 2Highest strength zinc alloy
  • ZA-8Best for bearing applications

Secondary operations

More than just casting — complete, finished parts

Die cast parts rarely come out of the machine ready to ship. That is why we offer all secondary operations in-house. You do not have to coordinate multiple vendors — we handle everything.

  • CNC machining — drilling, tapping, milling tight-tolerance features
  • Deburring & tumbling — smooth edges, clean surfaces
  • Surface finishing — coating, plating, anodizing, painting
  • Insert installation — threaded inserts, pins, bushings
  • Assembly — simple sub-assemblies and kitting
  • Custom packaging — labeled, protected, and ready for your warehouse

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most often.

Die casting pushes molten metal into a steel mold under high pressure. It makes strong, precise metal parts fast. Use it when you need metal parts in quantities of a few hundred or more, when consistent quality across thousands of parts matters, or when you want a lower per-piece cost than CNC machining.
Aluminum is lighter, more corrosion resistant, and handles heat well — it is the most common choice. Zinc is heavier but stronger, casts thinner walls, holds tighter tolerances, plates beautifully, and has a much longer die life (500K+ shots vs 100K+ for aluminum). Zinc melts at a lower temperature, which also reduces tooling cost per shot.
Send your 3D CAD files (STEP, STP, or IGES work best) along with your material, quantity, and finish requirements. Most quotes come back within a few hours on business days, and you will always have a full quote with DFM feedback within 24 hours.
Standard as-cast tolerance is ±0.05 mm on critical dimensions. For features that need CNC machining after casting, we hold ±0.02 mm. General structural dimensions are typically ±0.10 to ±0.30 mm depending on part size. We review every drawing and confirm achievable tolerances in our DFM report.
There is no strict MOQ. We regularly handle prototype runs starting at 100 pieces, bridge production in the thousands, and high-volume runs of 1,000,000+ parts. For very low volumes, we may recommend CNC machining instead — our engineers will suggest the most cost-effective option.
T1 (first sample) lead time is typically 15–25 business days after order confirmation, depending on part complexity. Once you approve samples, production runs usually ship within 2–4 weeks. We will give you a specific timeline with your quote.
Yes. All customer designs, files, and project details are treated as strictly confidential. We are happy to sign an NDA before you share any files. Your intellectual property stays yours.
You own the tooling fully once paid for. We maintain and store it for you at our factory for the life of your production. If you ever want to move the tool, we can arrange that. There are no ongoing "tooling rental" fees.
Yes. CNC machining, deburring, powder coating, painting, anodizing, plating, polishing, brushing, and assembly are all available. We deliver complete, finished parts ready for your production line — not raw castings you need to send elsewhere.
Yes. Every production order comes with a full inspection report including dimensional checks (CMM), visual inspection results, and material certificates for the alloy used. We can also provide PPAP documentation, RoHS/REACH compliance certificates, and X-ray porosity reports upon request.
