Micro Molding Service — YiguProto China
We mold tiny plastic parts with micron-level accuracy — many weighing less than one gram. Molds, presses, and inspection all run inside our own factory in Dongguan, China. Send your file and get a factory-direct quote with free DFM feedback within 24 hours.
The Problem
Tiny parts are unforgiving. Here is what goes wrong — and how our China manufacturing company fixes it.
Your first samples pass. Then parts slowly slip out of spec. Micro features shrink, warp, or flash.
You wait for a number. Then hidden tooling charges appear and the budget is already blown.
One shop cuts the mold. Another molds. A third inspects. When something slips, nobody owns it.
You cannot check a 0.05 mm feature with your eyes. Bad parts slip through and reach your line.
Loose micro parts get scratched, bent, or lost before they even leave the box.
Most factories want millions of parts. Your 10,000-piece run gets pushed to the back of the queue.
Micro Molding 101
Micro molding is injection molding for very small parts. Plastic pellets are melted and pushed into a tiny steel cavity. The part cools, pops out, and the cycle repeats — thousands of times a day.
The parts are often smaller than a grain of rice. Many weigh less than one gram. Some are measured in milligrams. Everything is held to micron-level accuracy — roughly one thousandth of a millimeter.
Here is the key point. Micro molding is not just about "small." A real micro molder repeats the same tight tolerance for millions of parts. That takes micro tooling, small presses, and strict process control.
Capabilities
Real numbers, so you can spec your part before you send the file.
0.1 mm to 50 mm. Sub-millimeter features molded in a single shot.
Under 1 gram, down to a few milligrams per part.
±0.01 mm on critical dimensions, part to part.
0.1 mm thin walls. Holes and features down to 0.05 mm.
Ra 0.8–1.6 µm as molded. Polished or textured on request.
15–50 ton micro presses. Single cavity up to 16+ cavities.
10,000 to 10 million+ parts per year, on the same tool.
Micro tooling 3–5 weeks. Molded parts 2–4 weeks after approval.
Our Solutions
Eight core services under one roof. No outsourcing, no finger-pointing.
In-house micro tooling with micro EDM, high-speed milling, and mirror polishing.
15–50 ton presses with small screws for precise, repeatable shots.
Metal, ceramic, glass, or film inserts molded into micro parts.
Two materials in one cycle. A soft grip on a hard body, with no assembly.
Overmold onto tiny inserts, wire, mesh, or sensors with tight shut-offs.
Liquid silicone and soft TPE for seals, grips, and medical parts.
Lenses and light guides with micron-level surface detail.
Reel-to-reel, trays, singulation, and clean-room packing.
Materials
High-performance resins are normal here, not a special order.
High heat (250 °C), chemical and wear resistant. Medical and aerospace.
High-frequency, low moisture absorption. Connectors and RF parts.
Strong, flame retardant, dimensionally stable. Electronics.
Chemical resistant with tight dimensional control. Automotive and electrical.
Stiff, low friction, and wear resistant. Gears and bearings.
Tough and flexible. Glass-filled grades add strength and stiffness.
Clear or tough. Housings, covers, and wearable parts.
Soft, rubber-like. Seals, grips, and medical components.
Need a biocompatible grade? We mold USP Class VI and ISO 10993 materials for medical programs.
Industries
We supply manufacturers, OEMs, and product companies across eight industries — and we know the quality bar for each one.
Micro-needles, drug delivery, surgical and diagnostic parts. Clean-room molding.
Connectors, terminals, switches, sensor housings, and insulators.
Wearables, phone parts, camera and audio components.
Sensors, connector housings, and micro gears. IATF 16949 programs supported.
Avionics parts, sensor housings, and lightweight precision components.
RF connectors, antenna parts, and fiber-optic components.
Precision carriers, micro-optics, and molded sensor parts.
Battery sensor parts, connectors, and compact micro housings.
Why YiguProto
Eight hard reasons why buyers leave their old supplier and stay with us.
Our tooling engineers average over a decade in micro mold design.
Held on the dimensions that decide whether your part works.
Send STEP, IGES, PDF, or a sketch. Your quote lands in 24 hours.
We own the tool shop. Faster fixes, lower tooling cost, tighter control.
Plus vision inspection and SPC on every critical feature.
ISO 13485-aligned documentation available for medical programs.
We handle export, freight, customs, and last-mile to your dock.
Talk directly with the people making your parts, not a reseller.
How It Works
Send the file. Get a number. Get the parts.
Upload STEP, IGES, STL, DWG, or a PDF drawing with quantities and material.
An itemized price with tooling split out, plus design feedback before you commit.
We build the micro mold in-house and run T0/T1 samples for your sign-off.
Production with in-process QC, then worldwide shipping with reports in every box.
Not Sure Which Process?
Both use a steel mold. The difference is scale, tooling, and process control.
Built for tiny parts and micron tolerances. The tool, the press, and the handling all change to match the scale.
Best for: medical devices, electronics, sensors, micro-optics.
Built for larger parts and higher shot volumes. The tooling is simpler and the cost per part drops fast.
Best for: housings, enclosures, and large consumer parts.
Still not sure? Send us the part and we will recommend the micro molding solution that costs less and performs better for your application.
