Turning and milling at YiguProto: precision, speed, and quality in one place

The problem

Two Suppliers, Two Setups, One Headache

Round features need a lathe. Flat features need a mill. Send the part to two shops and you wait twice as long.

With YiguProto as your China manufacturer and supplier, one team does both — turning and milling — under one roof.

  • One setup means tighter accuracy and less handling
  • One supplier means one price and one delivery date
  • Free DFM feedback before you place the order
  • Factory-direct pricing, no middleman markup

The basics

What Is Turning and Milling?

Two simple ideas. Turning makes round parts. Milling makes flat parts. Together they finish most precision components.

Turning spins the part against a fixed cutting tool. It is the best way to make round features — shafts, pins, bosses and threads.

Milling spins the cutting tool against a fixed part. It is the best way to make flat faces, slots, pockets and holes.

Most parts need both. We run both on one turn-mill machine, in one setup, so your part never waits in a queue at a second shop. That is the heart of our machining solutions.

Tighter Tolerances

Fewer setups means fewer chances for error. We hold ±0.01 mm, and tighter on request.

Faster Lead Times

No shipping parts between two shops. Finished parts in 3 to 8 business days.

Lower Cost

One setup saves machine time and labor. Those savings go straight to you.

Better Accuracy

Roundness and position stay true when the part is never unclamped.

Save money

Four Ways to Lower Your Part Cost

Small changes to your design can cut the price without hurting quality.

Send a Full Drawing

A complete drawing with tolerances avoids back-and-forth and rework.

Pick the Right Material

Aluminium costs less and cuts faster than titanium. Use it when you can.

Relax Tight Tolerances

Only tighten the features that need it. Loose tolerance means lower cost.

Order the Right Volume

One setup covers many parts. A slightly larger batch spreads the cost.

FAQ

Turning and Milling — Frequently Asked Questions

Turning spins the part against a fixed cutting tool, so it is best for round features like shafts, pins and threads. Milling spins the cutting tool against a fixed part, so it is best for flat faces, slots, pockets and holes. Most parts need both, and we do both in one setup.
We hold ±0.01 mm as standard, and tighter on request. When turning and milling happen in one setup, you avoid the repositioning errors that come from moving a part between two machines.
Aluminium, stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, copper and titanium, plus engineering plastics such as POM, PEEK, PTFE, PA and PC. Send your drawing and we will suggest the best grade.
Yes. Our turn-mill centers combine both operations in one setup. This means fewer setups, tighter accuracy and shorter lead times than sending the part to two suppliers.
Send your drawings or 3D files. Most quotes come back within a few hours on business days, never more than 24 hours.
Yes. All customer files and ideas are treated as confidential. We sign NDAs when needed.
For turning and milling, we support one-off prototypes and full production runs. There is no strict MOQ.
Typical lead time is 3 to 8 business days for turned and milled parts, depending on quantity and complexity.
