Clear, see-through plastic parts from our China factory. Light transmission up to 93%, haze under 2%, and a factory-direct quote within 24 hours.
The problem
A clear part hides nothing. Every bubble, streak and scratch is right there for your customer to see.
With YiguProto as your China manufacturer and supplier, you get one accountable partner from quote to delivery.
Quick facts
The basics
Transparent injection molding uses the same machines as normal molding. The difference is control. A clear part shows every flaw, so the process has to be much tighter.
Two numbers tell you how clear a part is. Light transmission is how much light gets through. Haze is how much the part scatters. Good optical parts run above 88% transmission and below 2% haze.
Four things decide whether you get that. Miss one and you will see it in the part.
Dust, moisture and cold flow all leave a mark on a clear part. There is no filler to cover it up.
Clear resin must be dried and kept sealed. We use a desiccant dryer, not a hot-air dryer.
Cavities are polished to SPI A2. Whatever the steel looks like, your part looks like.
Melt temperature, mold temperature and injection speed all have to hold steady, shot after shot.
Materials
Percentages are typical light transmission. Not sure which one fits your part? Ask us and we will match the resin to the job.
PC
88–90% light transmission
Toughest clear plastic. Safety lenses, guards and helmets.
PMMA
91–93% light transmission
The clearest, hardest surface. Light covers and displays.
PS
88–90% light transmission
Low cost and easy to mold. Disposable and lab items.
PET
88–90% light transmission
Food safe and tough. Bottles, jars and packaging.
SAN
About 88% light transmission
Clear and chemical resistant. Cosmetic packaging.
MABS
About 87% light transmission
Clear but tough. Housings with snap fits.
PEI
About 82% light transmission
Amber and heat resistant to 200 °C. Medical and aerospace.
PP
About 90% light transmission
Translucent and flexible. Living hinges and containers.
What goes wrong
These are the problems buyers send us after a bad run somewhere else. Every one of them has a cause we control.
Wavy lines across the surface. The plastic cooled before it finished filling.
Our fix: warmer melt and a faster, smoother fill.
Silver marks that follow the flow. Wet resin is almost always the cause.
Our fix: desiccant drying, checked against a dew point log.
Trapped air or moisture inside the part, showing up as round spots.
Our fix: better mold venting and a verified drying cycle.
A visible seam where two flow fronts meet inside the mold.
Our fix: a mold flow study, so the seam lands where you cannot see it.
The part looks milky instead of clear, even though the shape is right.
Our fix: even walls, higher mold temperature and clean resin.
Uneven cooling pulls the part out of shape after it leaves the mold.
Our fix: balanced cooling channels and a controlled pack profile.
Our process
Clear molding is won or lost in the preparation. These are the solutions we run on every clear job.
We confirm the grade and keep clear resin sealed, dry and free of dust.
A desiccant dryer, not hot air. We log the dew point and the drying time.
We simulate the fill before we cut steel, so weld lines land out of sight.
We inspect the cavity under light before the first shot, not after.
We check size, haze and light transmission on the first parts off the tool.
Gloves, robot take-out, PE film and dust-free bags. No fingerprints, no scratches.

Cost control
Clear parts cost more than coloured ones. Here is exactly where the money goes, and where we save it.
Clear grades carry a premium over standard coloured resin, especially PC and PEI.
Polishing a cavity to SPI A2 is skilled, slow work. It is the single biggest tooling cost.
Desiccant drying, clean handling and light tests add steps to every production run.
Even walls, gates hidden out of sight, and polishing only the faces you can actually see.
Industries
We mold clear parts for teams whose customers look straight through the product.
